From humble beginnings behind the cheese counter at Whole Foods, Nicole Ciani moved to New York City to study European wines. In her early NYC days, she worked at Rosenthal Wine Merchant and Chamber Street Wines, two of New York's premier wine retailers. Years later Ciani submitted to the restaurant world, holding wine focused positions at Gramercy Tavern, Gotham Bar and Grill and Terroir Wine Bar(s). After moving to Miami in 2013, her love of classic cocktails and traditional apéritifs lead to one road: Haus Alpenz. Her days are spent with bartenders and home imbibers sharing the unique liqueurs, amari, gin and rum Haus Alpenz imports.
